These muffins are not very sweet, but they were still very nice (says the girl who likes sweet things to be really sweet). If you need them sweeter you can add a bit more of the silan, but not too much or your batter will be too liquid and will not rise nicely while baking.
85g silan (date honey syrup)
2tsp baking powder
Melt the butter and leave it to cool. While the butter cools take the stones out of the cherries and leave them to drain a bit.
Put the eggs, silan, yogurt and butter in a big bowl and stir.
Add the flour, baking powder and cinnamon and stir well.
Add the cherries and mix.
Share the batter into a 12 hole muffin tray.
Bake for about 35 minutes, till the muffins are golden and firm.
Leave the muffins for 10 minutes to cool a bit in the tray and then remove them to a cooling rack very very gently. Because of the cherries you'll need to be careful not to break them when you take them out of the tray.
