Up-side down pear cake
Thank god he is not lazy like me, that he lets things slide, that he doesn't make a fuss much and thank god he is not a fussy eater, 'cause then what will I do?
Even when he has tired tantrums he is taking better to tiredness than I do. He finds it easier with people, he is more social than me, he enjoys little things like his toy cars better than I do.
All in all, he is a better better person than us. Thank god for that.
Just don't let us mess him up.
120g butter, in room temperature
65g chopped almonds
2tsp baking powder
a pinch of salt
Grease a 26cm spring form.
In a small sauce pan melt half the butter (60g) and the 70g honey and let it cook for a few minutes, till it's bubbling and the honey gets more of a caramel color.
Pour the caramel to the spring form and spread over it the ground almonds.
spread the pears evenly on the almonds.
In a big bowl mix the rest of the butter with the honey, add the eggs and mix.
Add the flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.
Add the milk slowly and stir till the batter is smooth.
Pour the cake batter on the pears and using a spatula spread it as evenly as possible.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes.
Let the cake completely cool, lay a cooling rack or a tray on top of it and turn in over quickly. Take the spring form bottom slowly off the cake.
